The same situation exists in all public school systems and needs to be addressed.

even had libraries and the overwhelming bulk of the schools were located in the poorer areas of Chicago. Back when I was growing up in Maine there was some kind of system that rebalanced the school funds so that the more well to do communities ended up helping to fund the poor ones to help to level out the playing field of the schools.

High stakes testing is detrimental to low income students. Teachers need to be evaluated on how well they teach, not on how well students perform on tests.

It is not...this is about horrible conditions in CPS and the corporate elites bleeding resources from most black and latino kids
