Gallup -Obama -48% -Romney 45%/Approval/Disapproval 50-44%

Unchanged from yesterday. That being said no incumbent who was ahead at this point in the Gallup Poll has ever lost.*

* I have seen that assertion thrown around but I am not one hundred percent convinced of its accuracy.

Really, the lead by Obama should be much larger. This is close enough to steal again. nt nanabugg Sep 2012 #5

Ever since 2000 I'm never comfortable and that concern/fear only gets worse as the GOP acts more desperate with each new election.

But the results are what the results are...

And out of a dozen nat'l polls, eleven have Obama in the lead...

At least that is my prediction.

Perhaps I'm a bit biased, but it's totally inconceivable to me that Willard could get a bounce as a result of his debate performance.

The TV analysts keep saying that Romney got more practice through the primary process, but I'm thinking that will just give him a false sense of security.

Let's face it, debating the likes of Perry, Cain, and Bachman was like a pillow fight compared to the Seal Team Six attack that will confront Romney at the debates with Pres. Obama.

Kerry and Gore wiped the floor with Bush* in their debates but their wins were mitigated by the fact that Bush* came off as "everyman".
Romney with his Thurston Howell demeanor is just not likable.
