Television is the worst possible medium for news and opinion. Radio is second. Gossip is third. Reading is fourth.
Critical thinking skills are first learned by reading. If people can't apply critical thinking skills to reading they'll never apply them to television or radio.
The most primitive parts of the human mind can't distinguish between television and reality.
