Watching Governor Trump Ass Kissing Duzey ongoing press conference he uses the term "Crisis Standard of Care." Orwellian language. What that means is our hospitals will be at capacity shortly, or even now.
What that means is doctors devising a point and color system as to who gets care. Ventilator roulette.
The Reich Wing has brought us the Death Panel in Arizona. That is the reality.
Do not get sick in Arizona.

(18,890 posts)Our NM governor is doing a stellar job, but residents of 3 of 4 states that border us ARE NOT (OK, AZ, TX).
I wish we could close the NM borders in the same way our Native American neighbors are.

(25,841 posts)and I'm seeing a disturbingly large number of cars with TX plates. Not quite so many with AZ tags, but still. I also wish we could close the borders.

(51,079 posts)Felt much safer in NM when I was there Feb.-April. Don't feel safe with Gov. Dicey (I have adopted autocorrect's suggested replacement when I type Ducey)

(25,841 posts)is: Webber: S.F. virus spike from locals, not visitors.
Webber is Alan Webber, our mayor.
He's probably right, if for no other reason than there are a lot more locals than visitors these days. I am myself pretty much self-isolating. I go to the grocery store, mostly cook at home. Do the odd carryout. I have two friends I get together with every ten days or so. Going to the library involves dropping books off and picking them up at curbside. I've bought a few books, and have now switched most of my buying to a local independent bookstore. They also do curbside pickup. For both the library and the bookstore a mask is mandatory. I always wear a mask when I go into a store of any kind.
I feel very confident that I have not been exposed, and I'm trying to keep it that way.
