The President was great on Letterman

and Dave didn't throw him all softballs or appear to bow...

I have the strangest feelings when I watch Obama that I'm not watching a regular human. Is there a species that's a step higher than a human and just a tad lower than an angel? He does everything so right. Laughs at the right time, smiles, goes completely serious, kids around, never avoids a question.

When I was young, I admired JFK. He was so handsome and so articulate, but I never felt that he was special like I do the President. My eyes fill with tears everytime he makes a serious appearance and I get feelings I never got before when anyone else spoke....he is unique, and I have to pity Romney for running against him. Nobody would look good next to Obama (evedn Clinton), even if they weren't a moron like Romney.

1. I think it is because

he doesn't come across bought out or as overtly political. He comes across as a breath of fresh air. I get a little teary eyed with excitement when I see him, but I don;t ascribe any supernatural power, just good policy and a genuinely good person.

10. Documentary on Bobby Kennedy - A Ripple of Hope

I think that like Bobby Kennedy, Obama reaches out to everyone and seeks to understand what needs to be done to solve problems for America in big ways and small ways.

edit to add
A Ripple of Hope can be found on Netflix and You Tube.
Quality of the Netflix one is much better.

2. He has grown tremendously under the responsibility, as has Michelle. Both of them

have linked into the heart of the presidency, and their two girls have followed suit. Imagine what it would be like to have those 2 as parents...awesome.

But I must add, the same is true for Joe and Dr. Jill ... incredible people. We hit the jackpot!!

4. This has to be more than luck

like the jackpot.

We never needed decent people who cared about the country - or the world for that matter - more than we do now - the way the President & the VP care.

5. Oh yes, much more. We all have luck in one way or the other

but how we rise to it and respond to it makes it or breaks it. His pretty amazing family isn't luck. It's what he and Michelle have made it in spite of two high-powered careers. Those four almost broke my heart at the convention. So real. So responsive. Such smiles. You can't buy that or make it up. It takes work and commitment...same as POTUS.

And Joe and Dr Jill ... same song, second verse.

The haters on the right are so ignorant about his greatness. A great, great man, and a President who will be a tremendous asset to the Democratic Party going forward and will be viewed favorably in the history books.

is a great role model and I think we're fortunate to have him as President. Do Not Want to See him go.

I saw him on Letterman too. I was thinking it was a perfect time for the Letterman show to have Booked him! Them in their Blue Ties!

9. I saw him tonight and was so pleased with his demeanor.

The man just comes across as so real, so approachable. Yes, Letterman threw out a few questions that invited snarky comments from President Obama, but he never took that route. He was a gentleman and didn't sink to that level. I don't think Letterman was baiting him and, in fact, seemed genuinely pleased that Pres. Obama was on for the entire show.

His sense of humor, timing and whole demeanor were just right and just made me think at one point....."Now I know why I love this man!" He does this country proud and we should do everything in our power to make sure he gets re-elected. It really, really horrifies me to think what this country would be like with Romney and Ryan running the show. GAK!

One thing to note: IF we want to get the economy on the right track, maybe we need to really push this White House Honey Brew they are making these days. The President mentioned several times how good it is! Bet they could market it and make a bundle for the good ol' US of A.

last weekend. My son made up a batch and I didn't care for it myself. I guess I still like the lighter sissy beers.

because we had the common sense to vote for him. Have to admit, back then, my vote was more "anyone but McCain" and a die hard Democrat to boot, but he's earned his "chops". Now I'm a full-fledged supporter.
