So I wonder.....

how successful is the NRA in getting civilian gun rights into Russia? Cause, Russia funneled lots of money into Republican hands to help their campaigns for gun rights (hey, somebody's gotta pay). So, can all Russians own as many AK-47's or AR-15's as they want?

for Russia and the GOP....and then they had their money problems. I doubt if there ever was a serious effort to supply weapons to Russian civilians, but I do wonder how that woman at the center of all that is doing.

I will however, answer the question as if it is not rhetorical.

The NRA likely works with international gun rights organizations to promote more gun ownership. It is after all, a lobby for gun manufacturers masquerading as a gun rights organization. However, Russian Federation gun laws appear to be much more restrictive than US laws. From reading Library of Congress documentation, it seems that gun laws in Russia are at least on par, if not more restrictive than California's gun laws, with the added restriction that purchasing a gun in Russia requires a license and owners have to have to be citizens (not just legal residents) and have a permanent registered legal residence. They also do strict background checks including a review of the residence to prove that the firearms can be stored safely and access to the owners medical records.

So the answer, which I am sure you know, that Russia has a much tighter regulatory scheme than the US.

They do not funnel money to the NRA for gun rights. They funnel it in because they know that the NRA gives primarily to Republicans, and Republican policies weaken the United States.
