Why does Mitt Romney want to be President?

Martin Bashir just asked a great question
he basically said:
Mitt Romney wanted to let the housing market go bust
he wanted to let Detroit go bankrupt
and he doesn't want to help the working poor
what does he want to do? Why does he want to be president?

I have one extra thing he didn't mention
Romney's plan for the middle east is kick the ball down the road and hope someone else picks it up.

When you start to put the things he says together it really sounds like the narrative he is putting together is

DO NOTHING GET PAID! I think that is his bumpersticker slogan he doesn't want us to know

Seriously, wanting something doesn't mean you should have it.
Crackheads want Crack
Meth addicts wants meth
Alcoholics want booze

It doesn't mean they should have it

Mittens may want to be President, but he doesn't deserve to be President

Takes over operations that have financial problems, borrows tons of money in their name, sells off the infrastructure and then he and his buddies pocket the money.

That's what he did to every company he took over. That's what he'll do to the US.

And that would be economic suicide for us. The US would enter into a depression that would not be able to recover from. And the vulture criminal thieves like the Koch Roaches would get it all and laugh all the way to the bank.

Sort of like Shrub invading Iraq because his father didn't get Saddam overthrown.

Not only was George Romney likely to not have been qualified to be President because of his birth in Mexico, his campaign was as disastrous as Mitt's is.

Reporter Jack Germond joked that he was going to add a single key on his typewriter that would print, "Romney later explained...."[20] Life magazine wrote that Romney "manages to turn self-expression into a positive ordeal" and that he was no different in private: "nobody can sound more like the public George Romney than the real George Romney let loose to ramble, inevitably away from the point and toward some distant moral precept."[11] The perception grew that Romney was gaffe-prone and a plodder.

2) Send more gov't money (read: taxpayer dollars) to his Mormon cronies' businesses
3) White Horse prophecy
4) Power mad sociopath

That's it. Take your pick, or pick a combo and assign a percentage of the total to each of your picks.

plan funds in the world -- the Social Security Trust Fund. I believe that.

Obviously, if the man were truly interested in politics or public service, he would update his own personal knowledge base on issues of importance. Since he obviously does not, there has to be something else prompting him to try to gain the Oval Office. Since money appears to be his main interest, I would say the Social Security Trust Fund is the beacon for Romney's run.

In 2003, when Bush* tried this, economic analysts projected if he were successful, the transition costs to a private entity would be 3 trillion dollars. They said the Federal Government would not pay the transition costs, and neither would a receiving entity. The only way it could be accomplished would be if the beneficiaries paid for the transition. That would mean a cut in monthly benefit checks.

If the estimate in 2003 was 3 trillion dollars, I wonder what that number would be today. Can you imagine getting your social security check in the mail with a Bain Capital return address on the envelope (or an electronic deposit from Bain)? It is beyond my comprehension ... really. And then your eye focuses on the amount and you see how much less the check is than what you were projected to get because you had to contribute to the transitional costs, in order words the Bain coffers.
