3. Yes, and she also called Perry "The Coiffure" and "Ken Doll."

"The Coiffure was in his usual form. As one opponent after another attacked his record, Gov. Rick Perry stood there proudly behind that 35 percent voter support he has so richly earned and simply disagreed. The Coiffure seemed to consider blanket denials a fully sufficient and adequate response."

5. Check out my sig line. I was going to change it when Goodhair quit for a few hours.

But then the dumbass, who said he was going to reassess his run, which in Entire-Worldspeak means "I'm quitting," tweeted that he was staying in. This would be, he doesn't have a concept of "thinking things over" since it was only a couple of hours past travel time from Iowa and sleeping time. Plus, he didn't bother to think of telling his own staff, since they didn't know anything when the national media started calling them.

So, I'm keeping the sig line until he's clearly and finally OUT!1 Molly would be telling the country about Goodhair double what she said about Shrub.

8. Just found this bit Molly wrote about Newt!

Newt Gingrich, the Boy Scout. Newt Gingrich, the man who sat there and watched Congress impeach and try Bill Clinton for lying about having an extramarital affair while he, Newt Gingrich, was lying about having an extramarital affair. (This all took place during his second marriage. The first one ended when he told his wife he was divorcing her while she was in the hospital undergoing cancer treatment.)

This is the level of Republican hypocrisy that reminds us all how far the Dems have to go. I tell you what. Let’s all hold hands together and sing, “Oh, the Farmers and the Cowboys Should Be Friends!” Just not, please, Newt Gingrich, the man whose contribution to civility was to recommend that all Democrats be referred to with such words as cowards, traitors, commies, godless, liars and other such bipartisan-promoting terms.

Please, anyone but Newt.

Austin, Texas, and the US lost a lot when Barbara Jordan and Molly Ivins, and Ann Richards all died within a year of two of each other.

I will never forget her addressing the Democratic Party convention when she said this about George H. W. Bush:

"Poor George, he can't help it — he was born with a silver foot in his mouth."

She also said this: "You can put lipstick and earrings on a hog and call it Monique, but it's still a pig."
