Beware paramilitaries, and their assaults on military veterans

Last edited Mon Jul 27, 2020, 06:09 PM - Edit history (1)

Beware their corporate bosses. There is no UCMJ or Constitution they swear to, only their owners.

Mike Hastie, Vietnam medic, warns these paramilitary goons that the government abuses their loyalty, uses it to commit atrocities, and that it will destroy them.

Tweets appear to take this tack, leaning toward reminding Americans of the military's atrocities abroad. Whether the US Military feels outrage over protesting veterans' treatment, or any pressure to step up and protect Americans in the next six months, is not known.

3. Makes you wonder what rump supporting vets think, how do they justify this?

4. I think their confusion of patriotism with nationalism justifies their silence.

I really think they're confused.

7. As a vet he admitted that US troops committed war crimes. Trumpgoons don't care.

He can't appeal to loyalties that don't exist. They have sworn to get a paycheck from their corporate bosses, and they're just in the business of animal control.

5. Didn't deserve pepper spray, but sounds like he's mostly pissed about

participating in Vietnam which was a misuse of our troops too, especially draftees not BLM.

At least he was a medic, but he was right about killing innocent Vietnamese.

trump has certainly ticked people off.

11. Not the right some from what I see. I want to see the Joint Chiefs pissed off.

I can't believe they'd accept this prez using paramilitaries against Americans who've been in their troops, have served and died to protect the idea of democracy. But since the wars they've waged since WWII are either anti-communist or corporate wars, they probably see a corporate government paymaster in their future.

One sniper. I just want one good sniper.
