I just did my first ever online survey for a store.

Just got back from Aldi's, and they were not enforcing the mask policy that was posted on their door. Looks like whoever runs it will realize that their red state opinions don't trump corporate policy.

I have done so several times with Home Depot a month or so ago. I will do so again if the need arises.

but reporting has revealed that even stores that have announced "corporate policy" are not making any real attempts at enforcing them. So you might find that (much to your discouragement) -- yes, local attitudes and opinion often do carry the day. Sorry. (and I hope you go ahead and prove me wrong here.)
