Pawlenty Steps Down From Romney Campaign

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty will join the Washington-based Financial Services Roundtable as its new president and CEO, the bank lobbying firm announced Thursday. Pawlenty will step down as national co-chair of the Romney campaign, according to CNN.

The Financial Services Roundtable lobbies on behalf of large banks, insurance companies, and other financial institutions. Pawlenty will begin his role on November 1, 2012.

With all that water sloshing over the gunwales of S.S. Romney, Timmy was getting his tassel loafers damp and evidently decided now would be a good time to find some dry, lucrative land and a new host to parasitize. Obviously the sweet federal government sinecure he was hoping for was sinking rapidly, too; but his metamorphosis into a lobbyist will enable him to sink his mouthparts into the soft flesh of the body politic and suck it dry on behalf of the banksters.
