I am going to mail myself one envelop a week starting in say... September and see if the mail service slows down as we get closer to November.
Is anyone else doing this?

I also sent him a card back in February, and it too over THREE WEEKS to arrive.

(100,065 posts)I ordered the extra A/C adapter that I needed last week and it shipped from Tennessee in less than 2 days. And I live in California. The other part (a WD Black SSD) should be coming either today or tomorrow.

(20,868 posts)It was mailed from overseas and ended up in New York on June 30.
There was no sign of it after that!
I had to make numerous calls, etc. and there was NO record of it.
I finally filed an international query with the USPS.
The NEXT DAY I receive a notification that the letter would be delivered that same day.
I believe it was stuck in the local post office for almost a month!

(6,805 posts)I think we should involve the postal unions in this too, some way.
Like mail two things the same day. To same address.
On one put a message supporting the union and asking for them to deliver as normal.
On the other one put nothing.
See if there is a difference in delivery.

(11,912 posts)Had parcels that should take a couple days take three weeks or more.
Sent one to Flint which is a couple hours away and it first went to Detroit like normal, but then went to Pittsburgh for three weeks, before going back to Detroit.
Sent a International priority to Hungary 2 months ago that still hasn't been delivered

(33,316 posts)They always arrive prior to the specified delivery date.
Most stamped mail gets there in 2 days.
This is all a bunch of horseshit.

(21,751 posts)They are mailing sample pieces and packages to each other to see what is going on. They are logging delays and tracking pieces through the system.
They are doing this on their own, without management, because they care about the Postal Service and providing their customers with good service.
