I ordered the extra A/C adapter that I needed last week and it shipped from Tennessee in less than 2 days. And I live in California. The other part (a WD Black SSD) should be coming either today or tomorrow.

4. A certified registered letter from overseas
Mon Aug 3, 2020, 01:34 PM
Aug 2020

It was mailed from overseas and ended up in New York on June 30.

There was no sign of it after that!

I had to make numerous calls, etc. and there was NO record of it.

I finally filed an international query with the USPS.

The NEXT DAY I receive a notification that the letter would be delivered that same day.

I believe it was stuck in the local post office for almost a month!

5. Good Idea. I've got some testing going with a friend in Cali. Involve the postal unions?

I think we should involve the postal unions in this too, some way.

Like mail two things the same day. To same address.
On one put a message supporting the union and asking for them to deliver as normal.
On the other one put nothing.
See if there is a difference in delivery.

I think mailing it locally to the distance of where ones ballot will go, is the best test too.

Had parcels that should take a couple days take three weeks or more.

Sent one to Flint which is a couple hours away and it first went to Detroit like normal, but then went to Pittsburgh for three weeks, before going back to Detroit.

Sent a International priority to Hungary 2 months ago that still hasn't been delivered

7. I send CDs & LPs by USPS Media Mail 3 or 4 times a week.

They always arrive prior to the specified delivery date.

Most stamped mail gets there in 2 days.

This is all a bunch of horseshit.

8. I know some Postal Workers who are testing their own system the same way.
Mon Aug 3, 2020, 02:05 PM

They are mailing sample pieces and packages to each other to see what is going on. They are logging delays and tracking pieces through the system.

They are doing this on their own, without management, because they care about the Postal Service and providing their customers with good service.

I can keep track of my experiment and turn it in to the Postal union as well.
