Susan Rice appeared on the CBS morning show

https://www.cbs.com/shows/cbs_this_morning/video/KhRvGRpZC0ksvqvkar1PNxN6KmiJ_Pyt/susan-rice-on-what-she-could-bring-to-a-biden-2020-ticket/

And I was very impressed. Poised and knowledgeable. Yes, the Rs will go after her so what? They will go after anyone.

And, yes, she has never run for office, so? (channeling Cheney??) The current occupant has never run for office. And she certainly is a better fit.

I prefer her over Harris ten times over.

(Not that my opinion will sway anyone..)

Wanted to add: like Biden she has an upbeat approach. This is America, there is nothing we cannot do. Instead of the doom and gloom that others use.

Harris and Bass may have too many problems.

Rice may indeed be the best pick -- a Biden-Rice would certainly be the 'adult' and competence ticket.

Cheney was elected several times to the U.S. House, by the way.

And, with Joe's age when he takes office, we need a Veep who can take over.

(Rice has fewer known enemies, so she might have an easier transition.)

Anyway, it's Biden's decision, and no doubt he has thought of more things than we have.

I think Karen Bass or Kamala Harris would as well, but I do lean toward Rice at this point as far as being the best overall.

with the GOP salivating about Benghazi which we all know is bull shit...but it could work and cost us the Senate...Tammy Duckworth is the best choice she can help expand the map.

I believe I heard her say that on NPR. I’m not holding her son’s depraved beliefs against her. Only her characterization of them.

the right wing term “pro-life”. I was shocked and disappointed to hear her use it. And attacking me personally was unnecessary. Let’s not start that again this year.

you would bring up her son, a "Personal Attack"?

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/nov/23/susan-rice-interview-trump-family-son
America’s strident political divisions have become the greatest threat to its own survival, Susan Rice, former national security adviser has warned in a new book, in which she also reveals the degree to which those divisions have threatened to fracture her own family.

Rice, the most senior African American woman in the Obama administration, became a hate figure for the American hard right – sometimes on issues for which she had little responsibility. In her new memoir, Tough Love, she describes her anxiety as her son Jake drifted to the other end of the political spectrum, becoming the leader of a Trumpist Republican student organisation at Stanford University.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rice admits that a happy ending, in her family and in the nation at large, is not a foregone conclusion. In Tough Love, the personal and the political intertwine constantly, but never more painfully than after she left office in January 2017 and her relationship with Jake begins to mirror the increasingly extreme polarisation in US politics.

She describes “explosive, sometimes profane, arguments” with her son, expressing her fear that “there could come a day when Jake and I determine that our disagreements have become so profound that we are irreconcilable”.
