Anyone else get an email? Some group calling itself the "Willard Policy Lab" is claiming to create a "democratized think tank". You propose ideas, there are votes, and selected ideas are advocated politically. Reading the fine print, in order to participate, one must pay $10 a month. One can also buy upwards of 10 votes, each one for $10. They claim to be looking for a minimum of 1000 people. But they do not actually say who is in charge of all of this. I'm curious how it got my name. Anyone else receive one of these?

(37,152 posts)It sounds like what they want from you most is to know whether you will fork over money to an ill-defined, no-clear-purpose, and zero-effectiveness "political" organization.

(1 post)It sounds interesting, but I would like to know more. I Googled it and only came up with this thread, so I don't think it even exists yet. It doesn't seem to have a web page. And who is Willard?
Actually, it does have a web page 'WillardPolicy.com', but it doesn't say anything besides what was in the email. I replied, asking for more information. If I learn anything useful, I will post it here.
