Fehr said he's never missed voting in an election, and the main thing that brought him to the polls Tuesday was his opposition to the expansion of Medicaid.

Any more punchable faces show up and I may be tempted to take a shot.

And on edit-- douches actually have a purpose.

"When I see people walking down the street within 75 yards of them, wearing masks, this is... not an issue of health and science, it is an issue of compliance."

FU, guy. I'll have a mask on in that situation because it's going to change as I walk along, and I have my attention on other things, not on masking/unmasking the moment someone comes into or goes out of "range".

And let's go over the basics, pal: The virus travels in droplets from the breath of infected people. Unmasked, that breath propagates several feet. Masking cuts that to several inches, and distancing keeps those inches from meeting. But without adequate testing, which we're a long way from, you can have it without being symptomatic (yet) and spread it. So even if you're quite sure you haven't picked it up from anywhere, nobody else can be sure of that and for all anyone else knows you might have it and are just indiscriminately spraying it around, so that everyone else has to guard against you.

That's why you have to wear the f***ing mask or be escorted off by police. You are putting zero effort into a public safety issue and are absolving yourself of responsibility because you're a "contrarian."

And unless your mask is made from a plastic bag, YOU'RE NOT INHALING YOUR OWN CO2, YOU MORON!

9. More recent studies have shown that small exhaled droplets can hang

in the air for up to two hours. So even if he is 75 feet away from a person coming toward him, if he has Covid and breathe out droplets, the person 75 feet away would be exposed to them once that person walks the 75 feet to where he was. Both people wearing masks causes two things to happen, the guy releases fewer virus particles because the mask traps others, and when the person that was 75 feet away reaches the guy’s old spot, the second person’s mask traps many of the particles that did manage to escape the first guy’s mask, so the risk of getting infected is near zero for the second person.

he wanted his way and only his way. So shame on him.

He could've voted, but he chose not to. It's his own damn fault. Voting was not his priority.

He speaks well, seems relatively intelligent, but is selfish in not willing to protect his fellow citizens by wearing a mask.

He speaks about people who wear a mask who may be 75 feet away from another person, well as someone said upthread, the Covid-19 droplets can hang in the air, but not only that, but the wind plays a role here, too. I was sitting on my front porch recently when a neighbor 3 doors down started hacking. The wind was gusty, so I quickly went inside. I didn't know what that gust of wind would send my way.

As ole Ben would say: An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

...since he's repeating it as a justification, he has uncritically swallowed the crapola "breathing in your own CO2", which is not something that happens unless your "mask" is a plastic bag over your head and tied tight.

If he's so concerned with "conformity", why did he "conform" to a premise that doesn't exactly take a lot of hard thought to disprove?
