(23,292 posts)Something we never had when I was in school in MI. We could stay in school until middle of June and it was only the last week or 2 that got hot. We always went back within a week after Labor Day.

(19,233 posts)My school was a massive red brick 3-story built as a jobs program in the Great Depression. Gorgeous architecture, but fuck all for insulation and A/C. You wanted relief on a hot day? Fight for the desks near the window and pray for a breeze!

(25,964 posts)If there were no problems in those pictures, there would be no issue with a student taking and sharing them. It was already obvious that opening schools was a bad idea and that schools were unprepared to keep students and teachers safe from infecting one another. Slapping a wrist here just makes school administrators look even worse. smh
Good for the students who are taking pictures and sharing them. They may save lives, including their own.
