A group of voters backed by Republican legislators sued Gov. Tim Walz and other state and local officials Tuesday in federal court, aiming to block a face mask requirement at polling places.
Members of the Minnesota Voters Alliance and GOP lawmakers contend Walzs mask mandate, intended to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, conflicts with a longstanding state law making it a misdemeanor for someone to conceal their identity with a mask. The 1963 law grants exceptions, including masks that are part of medical treatment.

(1,301 posts)Why not have a separate line, and separate entrance/polling stations for anti-maskers? Im sure there are poll workers that are like-minded. They can enjoy their freedom to infect each other.
It could also serve as a kind of visual exit pollI mean, we know who those guys are voting for...

I think the Repug powers that be realized that if there is a mask mandate at the polls - that their people would be disadvantaged. I believe that is why they are fighting this mask mandate.
Am I on to something?
