I just had a fantasy visual:

It’s election night, and Wolf Blitzer is giving his usual halting delivery and saying, “not since Ronald Reagan trounced Walter Mondale in 1984 has a presidential candidate been so vanquished by the populace.”

Put as many uh’s and hesitations as you want in there.

A thinking Nation jumping for joy.the rest of them can go take a hike.
