The NRA is the greatest threat to the general right to keep and bear arms in the country

If, like me, you believe in the principle of civilians having a right to keep and bear arms, I urge you in the strongest possible terms to support Letitia James's lawsuit to dissolve the NRA. The NRA are nothing but fearmongering grifters, and they represent the greatest threat to the legitimate right to keep and bear arms in the country. If they are finally dissolved, we can actually have a responsible discussion among adults about gun ownership. Every day the NRA continues to exist is a day that the complete abolitionists gain political power.

I am a gun owner, and every gun owner I know supports some gun control. But most don't realize how extreme the NRA is and how they're a bunch of crooks.

At some point, I think about the late '70s, they went off in the direction of 2nd Amendment fanaticism and became essentially a lobbyist for gun manufacturers; their pitch was that the liberals were going to take away your guns so you'd better buy as many as you can right now. With Trump they got exponentially worse, and even apart from all the grifting that LaPierre was up to, they got pretty cozy with some Russians, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if they were laundering Russian money for Trump's campaign. In any event they have made any rational discussion, let alone regulation, of firearms completely impossible. I'm glad they'll be out of the picture.
