(81,210 posts)I figure it might be useful. Sometimes the numbers just become overwhelming! But the rates and amounts of increase can be mighty instructive.

* and ** - here's another one of those situations where the death toll holds steady, at least momentarily, but the cases keep climbing. Sadly, we know by now that after the cases rise, there's a lag time and THEN the death toll begins to reflect an upward change.

(81,210 posts)I figure the general information, details, and tracking might be helpful if you ever need to point out just how horrifying this is. But gotta confess, alwaysinasnit: it scares me to think how high this is gonna go. And how long it continues.
It's nice to remember the effectiveness of all those nice common-cold vaccines we have available to us ...
