Mitch has been doing EVERYTHING behind closed doors and presents his infrequent legislation as a fait accomplis to the Dems without any input from them.

because they're running for reelection and their constituencies are as insanely partisan as they worked to make them. Also some because they reject dealing themselves. McConnell's said he'll have to form a majority with Democrats.

Schummer holds the keys to Mitch's Kingdom and old Mitch knows he is in big trouble. He is looking for a Voice Vote in order to save his sorry butt.

With every passing hour, the real story of the Republican Party's disdain for working people is screaming like a bullhorn.

Notice the Newsy's are having a hard time defending their Boss's Republican views.

It's been awhile. Fox's audience's interests and needs are, of course, somewhat different from those those the GOP serves. The day when their cabal doesn't have to worry about elections must be like a holy grail leading them on.

understand fully, our News Service is a Corporate owned Platform for their own interest and not that of the People they try to fool on a daily basis.

As we learned in Sociology, the Stockholm Syndrome works in strange ways with certain Groups of Humans. And we are seeing in real time how that is playing out with the Trump supporters.

Always has amazed me just how folks will vote against their best interests each and every Election Cycle.

though, studies showed that most who voted "against their own interests" were voting for what they believed were their principles. They were willing to sacrifice for what they believed was right, though many were and are, as we know too well, not capable of figuring out for themselves what's really right and wrong.

This century, of course, very bad leaders have purged traditional conservatism and trained too many that they must stop liberal, Democratic, commie, socialist, fascist baby killers before we take over and destroy all that's good about America. Of course they'll still sacrifice now if that's what it takes to save the future for their children. And of course there's all the rest of it, racism and nativism as prime motivators so obviously wrong to us but seen entirely differently by many of them.

paragraph says it all. Appears similiar to a case study used in 1960 Political Science Class we under took. Similar results .

One of our Reading Assignments was a book from a Austrian Author I believe his name was Strause the father of the Nationalist Propaganda used by the German Reich . And the Prof for this course came from Norway armed with first hand info as to how this Propaganda worked. Once again,it was convincing the Populace that they the Nazi's were your Savior's.

As a Commentator mentioned a few days back,Gingrich was the Change Agent in modern Politics. He knew by breaking the norms of Civility,he could win the argument of the day. And we are living that same nightmare some thirty years later.

Some are incapable of being lazy, some love to work, and those who don't want work to BE their lives don't become powerful political leaders.

Don't know if he's loving it so much these days, but senate majority leader is the position he worked for 30 years to attain. Many have said he never wanted anything else and that it's all about the power for him.

Not money, although it's not uncommon for politicians realizing late in life that they're downright poor compared to everyone around them to set out to accumulate at least some. Since marrying a Chinese billionaire's daughter as part of his power seeking, McConnell's been able to launder very handsome fortunes through gifts to her, a happy marriage of his true love (power) and a small share of what's only due to a man of his power.

McConnell loves to spread the false narrative about the extra $600/wk as a disincentive to work for struggling Americans. Don’t get me started on Mrs. McConnell...
