Time to prevent COVID spread FROM Sturgis

The only lower 48 state west of the Mississippi that has a sensible quarantine policy is New Mexico. Most have no quarantines at all.
It's time for sensible, health conscious states to put these in place. (Listen up: CA, WA, CO, etc!) This includes for all attendees at Sturgis crossing into another state. These are big states that are almost impossible to cross without a gas stop at a minimum.

1. The outdoors part where they are all on their motorcycles should be ok. When they go

inside stores and restaurants is when the s-it hits the fan.

2. So there should be lots of pop up outdoor stores and restaurants with patios.

Maybe that exists during the festival. It's a small town usually.

4. Being in a crowd outdoors is almost as bad as indoors.

Have you seen pictures?

7. Yeah, just as bad. These people should NOT be allowed back in responsible states that

are doing the right thing.

It is not complicated.

5. Still a lot of hand contact, though.

Shaking hands, hugging and fiddling with each other's bikes and then touching the mouth, eyes and nose can certainly spread this virus. There's a lot of loud-mouth talk and shouting in close proximity around bikes too, which makes spread by air a possibility.

Those are things that are easy to forget for anyone.

But you're right....they'll all be going into lodgings, restaurants, service stations and stores their entire trip.

KY........

3. Waitstaff and shop owners better be wearing masks...

Double masks for the shit these rally attendees will be spewing. Filth, bad breath, insults of all kinds.

The t-shirts from Sturgis should read...I WENT TO STURGIS in 2020. ALL I GOT WAS THIS KILLER DISEASE.

That should drive the message home.

8. What's ridiculous is that Florida still has the 14-day quarantine in place for NY, NJ and CT.....

..... when Florida is now the problem child.

9. Maybe just build a fence around Sturgis

and keep them all inside for a month or two?

10. The virus will go wild. If SD is insane enough to have this event, we are all at huge risk.
