Sturgis is a tiny little town I have been to many times.. and the angel of death is hanging over it

There are less than 7,000 people who live there.. many of them did not want the rally to go on this year. I love the Black Hills.. the people who live in around the monuments are inundated with tourists every summer, but I have never had an ungracious encounter with anyone there.

To see this damn rally go on.. and those motorheads forcing their way into that tiny town from all over the US.. and they do come from all four corners and a number of other countries.. without their masks.. makes me so scared for the people who live there.. the Typhoid Martys and Marys will go back to their various communities with the virus.. either catching there or bringing it there.. and those little towns in the Black Hill of South Dakota could be infested and people will die.. I hope the press keeps it eyes on that area and what happens..

And what I have heard through the midwest grapevine, is they (the people of Sturgis) realized there would no stopping those dopes on hogs who would show up there..

I have no interest in a biker rally, but I might be interested in visiting Sturgis in a month or so TreasonousBastard Aug 2020 #1

to see if there is any aftermath.

It's an 1800 mile drive, but I've got the month off.

it has exploded since the 70's! We don't go for the rally, but usually go out to the Badlands and Black Hills the week after, just as they're leaving. The crowds in Keystone are butt to butt and rowdy. We always stay in Custer, and that's crowded too, but more low key. We've always avoided Sturgis.

My point is, based on what we've seen Peacetrain is spot on. This is going to be a superspreader event when the diaspora of bikers leaves and heads back to their respective States.

At a Chinese restaurant next door to an Adult Sex Shop, across the street from the Harley dealership.
