(8,200 posts)I am way past time do do much of anything. I am lucky to make to the store and back. All I see is people complaining and not doing a damn thing. They wring their hands and say my oh my isn't that just awful what the damn Republicans are doing. The Republicans know that they can get away with it because they know nobody, yes nobody will do a damn thing to stop them. The Republicans know that they don't have a damn thing to fear from the do nothing things and laugh. We deserve exactly how we are being treated. To think that our forefathers would not stand for being mistreated and demanded with their blood to be granted their rights and the comparison to today makes me want to loss any faith in the future. Freedom isn't free!

(12,712 posts)No matter who it is or at what level, I would consider that intentionally interfering with the operations of Postal System is actually a felony.
Case in point? The mail is slowing down to a crawl for many people. That's not cost cutting and efficiency, that's malicious intent to interfere with the delivery of mail.
He should be arrested and tried. Oh, I know, we don't do that, but...

(15,703 posts)DeJoy was CEO of High Point, North Carolina-based New Breed Logistics from 1983 to 2014, and retired after his company was acquired by Connecticut-based freight transporter, XPO Logistics, for a reported $615 million. Following that acquisition he served as CEO of XPO's supply chain business in North America until his retirement in 2015, and was appointed to a strategic role on XPO Logistics' board of directors where he served until 2018.[7]
At the time of his naming as Postmaster General, DeJoy was president of LDJ Global Strategies, a Greensboro, North Carolina-based, boutique firm with interests in real estate, private equity, consulting and project management.[8] DeJoy currently serves on the Elon University board of trustees.[citation needed]
United States Postmaster General
The USPS Board of Governors announced DeJoy's appointment as Postmaster General on May 6, 2020.[9] On the same day, the National Association of Letter Carriers president Frederic Rolando released a statement congratulating Mr. DeJoy on his appointment but warning of politicization of the USPS, saying "Keeping politics out of the Postal Service and maintaining its independence is central to its success..."[10] Mark Dimondstein, the president of the American Postal Workers Union, wrote in a letter that "the APWU is deeply concerned with the appointment process to make Mr. Louis DeJoy, a multi-million-dollar major donor to President Trump, the next Postmaster General." Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) noted that his career as a political operative and close ties to the president and Republican Party would threaten the non-partisan nature of the Postal Service.[11][12][13]
