not "reporters" because they don't report the news the way some people want it reported.
She may have a slant, but they all have a slant (and that's OK if they slant "our" way) but I haven't noticed her lying or making egregious mistakes.
It is not entirely on those who deliver the news, it is also on us to accept that delivery and that it often has mistakes. We, while accepting it, have to filter out those mistakes for ourselves. The little ones, anyway.
Just for fun, I used to read the NYT and WSJ on the subway every morning. It was amazing how they both could cover the same story in ways you wouldn't be sure it was the same story.
I always remember that scene in The Front Page where a dozen or so reporters were on the phones calling the big story in. Each of them had his own slant on it and told a different story even though they used the same facts. "Murderer gets off" "An injustice corrected" etc.
Great movie, and even better when redone as His Girl Friday.
(How could Cary Grant and Rosalind Russel not make a great movie? And with Howard Hawks directing...)
