A lot of people are wondering about the veracity of this.

(38,187 posts)That is all it takes for cops to beat and arrest protesters nowadays. Freedom of speech has left the building. Just saying you disagree with Trump and his fucking gang of thugs will get you beaten and/or killed. It literally probably was someone who merely said they disagreed with Trump, or maybe he just didn't like their looks. Who knows any more?

(27,758 posts)In particular, Trump's reaction, or should I say, non reaction. He didn't seem the least bit ruffled...yet he freaked out over the BLM protestors in DC and that guy who ran up on the stage once. Yet today he seemed really blase.
llmart
(15,499 posts)Sure didn't look like the reaction of someone who's just been told there's a shooter.
Something smells fishy here.

(39,171 posts)according to the SS, a man approached one of these officers, said he was armed, pulled an object from his pocket and charged the officer.
Either someone with mental issues or suicide by cop.

(13,564 posts)1. The suspect approached a secret service officer and told him he had a weapon.
2. The suspect then TURNED AROUND, ran aggressively TOWARD the officer
3. in a drawing motion, withdrew an object from his clothing
4. crouched into a shooter's stance
5. SS officer discharged weapon.
SOMETHING IS MISSING OR INEXPLICABLE IN THAT SERIES OF EVENTS.
LisaL
(44,962 posts)And clearly whatever object it was, it was not a weapon. Or they would have said the weapon was recovered.

(13,564 posts)This is nuts.
hack89
(39,171 posts)I would bet there is a step 1.a where the man walked away before turning around.
It was most likely a cut and paste into twitter that was not properly proof read.

(13,564 posts)For what reason was the SS officer transported to hospital?
MizLibby
(289 posts)it appears the SS officer and bad man were transported to separate hospitals. Strange. I guess its the Red Hosp. and the Blue Hosp.

(14,225 posts)That area has more cameras per square foot than the ces camera pavillion. Every square inch of the area within blocks of the wh is under ultra-hd surveillance. They likely caught it from a dozen angles.
If they say there is no video, it is a bald faced lie.
Grasswire2
(13,564 posts)I don't know if the power was cut, or what exactly.
Security cameras? WHERE IS THE VIDEO?
llmart
(15,499 posts)as in the Epstein "suicide" where all the cameras just weren't working at the same time.
Yeah, that's the ticket.
