It's Kamala, and I'm happy. My choice was a long shot anyway (Original Post) TlalocW Aug 2020 OP
I'd pay to see a Pence vs. Elvira debate. Duncan Grant Aug 2020 #1

Harris was a sort of distant #2 for me.
Abrams #3 after that.

Harris is the smart choice.

It'll be a few days or weeks before I can accept Warren NOT being the choice.

But right now, one of the things on our side is that Biden is, "Good ol' Uncle/Grandpa Joe." Trump is having a hard time making any negative attacks stick to him (it's all projection for Trump anyway). Hillary, whether she deserved it or not (didn't), had been saddled with a reputation/image that was easy for Trump to attack. I was worried that Warren would be the same way with the already somewhat successful Pocahontas slur.

I think with Harris, Trump might have to tread a little more lightly. We'll see.

I like Joe, but admittedly he's not the most progressive. A lot of work is going to be just getting America back to where it was before Trump, but hopefully whatever programs/bills are used to do so maybe push the envelope a little. Get the Post Office funded and institute national vote by mail, etc. That may be too ambitious, but I can dream.
