Why me?

In the mail today, a solicitation for Biden's Victory Fund (from Obama, I think). OK. And then, one from... Sarah Huckabee Sanders?? Something about stopping fake news? (takes one to know one, I suppose).

How on earth has she got my name? Used to be, years back, that spouse would get solicitations from Republican candidates and party and we thought because of the WSJ subscription. But me? With my donations to Democratic candidates?

Has anyone here?

On second thought, I need to see if the accompanied envelope is no stamp required. Will let her know what I think of her fake claims..

As a "joke" he sent a donation to the Republicans in my name. To this day, through a divorce and moves to 3 states I still get things from them from time to time. I keep them in a trash bin and we have a burning party in the fall in our fire pit. We drink wine and scotch and sing silly songs as those damn things burn to a crisp. Then we put the ashes on the compost pile.

I figure if they want to waste their money all these years so be it.

Will trigger another donation to a Democratic campaign.

I did that when my Republican member of Congress sold my name and contact info to the Republican Party. I'd contacted him to complain about his first vote in Congress and immediately began to get calls about all sorts of Republican crap.

So I told them that every time they called, I'd give even more money to a Democratic candidate - and that I would not vote for a Republican if they held a gun to my head.

I have not gotten a single call from any Republican poltical cause since then.

Thing is, all my House and Senate representatives are Democrats. As are my State House rep and my governor. The only R is the State Senator and he is not running for re-election.. Used my name as last hurrah? I did contact him twice..

It doesn't matter whether you are a Democrat or Republican

Candidates can chose to target their mailers to specific groups (such as over 65, rural location, voting history, survey results etc) or they can chose to send them to all registered voters.

If it was email, it is another matter. I keep getting campaign emails from John Cornyn. However, when I read one of the emails, it was addressed to someone with a different name, but my email.
