It is his go to (see Hillary Clinton in 2016). It does seem to be worse for women of color though.

nasty a long time ago. Trump uses the word as a dog whistle for strong, experienced, confident, and knowledgeable women that scare phony, cowardly white men.

Started with Hillary then Nancy and Liz now Kamala... it means "uppity b---h who don't know her role."

In the prologue Mary writes that she had taken a leave of absence from Tufts University and after a year she went to her grandfather and asked for permission to go back to school.

He looked up at me and said, "That's stupid. What do you want to do that for? Just go to trade school and become a receptionist."

"Because I want to get my degree." I must have said it with a hint of annoyance, because my grandfather narrowed his eyes and looked at me for a second as if reevaluating me. The corner of his mouth lifted in a sneer, and he laughed. "That's nasty," he said.
