Perennial puritopians pout: Left wing rankled by choice of Harris for VP

"We might be looking at 12 years of neoliberal power at the top of the Democratic Party," one activist says.

Kamala Harris wasn’t left-wing Democrats’ first choice for Joe Biden’s running mate... In the final days of Biden’s decision-making process, several prominent progressives said privately they hoped he would pick a nominee who would ensure the 2024 Democratic primary, assuming Biden doesn't run, is as wide open as possible.

But instead of selecting someone like Karen Bass, who signaled that she wouldn’t run for president, or Susan Rice, who hasn’t campaigned for elected office before, Biden went with a 55-year-old senator who made clear she wants the top job when she ran for it herself.

“We might be looking at 12 years of neoliberal power at the top of the Democratic Party because of the specter of a very young and ambitious — as most politicians are — person on the ticket,” said Norman Solomon, co-founder of the left-wing group RootsAction.org. “That’s a real fear.”

In other words, another two cycles the Democratic party won't cancel primaries and just hand the nomination to someone more deserving </sarcasm>

might be seen as a nonaccomplishment for those who set the bar at actually, you know, being awarded the Nobel Prize.

As for something "of note," though, how about the emails asking the Ecuadorean embassy in London to hide Julian Assange from the law? The president of Ecuador obviously didn't dare ignore 14K! emails from useful idiots around the planet.

Seriously, Politico? THIS buffoon claiming Kamala supports RW laissez-faire capitalism is your voice of far-left unhappiness with the choice?

Apparently Trump lacks this guy's credibility.

What a load of horse crap.
I'm about as lefty as they get, and I'm ECSTATIC Kamala is the VP. We need experienced leadership to repair the destruction to our nation caused by Doturd. It may take much more that 16 years of Biden/Harris to clean up this pile of Repuke dog shit.
