Isn't Obama about 8 points ahead in the polls?

I know I heard that. And that figure was before the 47% gaffe.

I was wathcing Fox News (I didn't realize that it was Fox at the time) and they said that it is 47/47.

So what poll do they use?

Most of the polls drastically undercount people who do not have land lines. The meta-analyses of the polls show the President with a 4-6 point advantage. I'd bet it's closer to 8 points.

was not exactly dampened by Romney's assist. Overall Obama was always in the lead. The electoral, vote rigging, media rigging, massive dough buying of the election was almost openly assumed to give any nitwit an edge but the Mitwit is about to test a lot of fraudulent "strengths".

Still, big money will run from a loser toward politicians running away even faster followed by a panic-stricken corporate media that ultimately would like much of that money as ad revenue. Like lemmings toward a cliff of election defeat.

Somewhere, one might hope, but only hope, the morphing of Mitt the shoe in to the shoe in mouth, to the scapegoat, to the naked party cowering beneath his fall, will unravel all of the garbage that is conservatism and the GOP and the pure essence of stupid greed.

The grinding away here is not quite normal. All palpable losers of the past know and show it. Acceptance to noble perseverance- for the team. The occasional defiant desperation that leads to bigger foot in mouth disease. Except the immense amount of money and fraud to buy the election gives this loser something beyond mere public opinion or real vote tallies to sustain his pretensions. Those stages of sane loserdom are thus slow and bitter in coming. The stripping away of money dominance would likely be the very time Romney would force himself to deal with reality. And why would big money want to get egg all over its face and suffer defeat along with the goof? The cowardice and cynicism that is finally natural to theses braggarts won't make them the last to leave battleship Mitt. Now that they have an excuse as good as a lifeboat.

The press can at least survive by becoming irrelevant and panning for lesser gold as the contest and the ads wither. Election fraud is trickier. It has to take place to some degree to save the bacon of House members(awkward to justify in an Obama landslide) and keep the exit polls etc. skewed toward a foundation of false statistics for next time.

Overall, in some localities much worse than others, people looking at the possibilities of fraud estimate 5% is shifted nationwide to the GOP. That takes the whole gamut of fraud up to vote tabulation manipulation with late night man in the middle operations. Never tackled nationally, never allowed MSM coverage, estimates as argued over as the Drake Equation for the number of contemporary extraterrestrial we MIGHT find. As with common sense viewpoints about aliens, although we have yet to arrange a close encounter with the FBI, the potential for such to have happened and continue happening is easily there. Indeed the potential that "alarmists" keep raising in the spirit of pessimism is
that elections could be silently rigged or old fashionedly stolen in much higher percentages depending on daring and risk.

That fear however drives to give Obama more ballots to counter any fears of stay at homes no matter his lead given by reluctant pollsters. This is what losing is really like, when everything, even advantages turn against you and the influences more important than the candidate don't want to go down with him yet survive somehow with their old arrogance and dominance.
