This made me furious today

Is “charismatic “ a new way to slam a powerful woman?

Billionaire investor predicts a Trump victory, says Kamala Harris is ‘a little too charismatic’

Harris, he said, won’t likely change that because she’s “a little too charismatic” and her personality “might be a little bit dominant.”

Is Harris too smart, too good, too black, too female, too honest, too forthright, too ethical?

I really hate these awful denigrating people.

Fuk 'em. If she weren't so charasmatic, then she wouldn't have the "it" factor.

They are scared of her because she is PERFECT for VP! And Pres in 2024!

Of the never ending sexism/racism.

The difference in the workplace between assertive/aggressive is gender based.

Republicans certainly expect women to "know their place" just as they expect the same of black people. Of course, republicans will make exceptions for right-wing women -- they loved thatcher, the "Iron Lady".

Can't think of a remotely "dominant" black person they've ever tolerated. They're fine trotting them out on occasion, like Thomas or Cain, but I wouldn't call them the slightest bit "dominant".

I seriously hope The November Landslide is seen as a complete rejection of the politics of hate, and bigotry/sexism/xenophobia/etc. is treated as thoroughly discredited and anyone promoting it gets treated as the lunatic fringe and denied the massive media coverage they currently enjoy.

I said to him, "As soon as any Republican uses the word 'uppidity', they will energize the votes of African-Americans to the Democrats." He agreed with me.

"Uppidity" is a derogatory definition of ambition, dreams, of people not considered Caucasion. How dare a Barack Obama aspire to be President, let alone a woman like Kamala Harris, aspire to accomplish all that she has with determination and commitment? To a racist, that person would be considered "uppidity".

I make my point. Use it Republicans. See how you all fare this election cycle.

Same thing.

The GOP loves attacking the strengths of their opponents, especially if they are female. Try to make their strengths a liability.

15. It IS a good thing, except when it is a trait possessed by a woman.

See, being charismatic is a MAN thing. Women should be demure and know their place, standing BEHIND, their husbands.

I put the sarcasm smiley just to make sure that it is known that that is not my thinking. The sad and frustrating thing is that it is the thought of MANY conservatives, both men and women.

Women are not supposed to have "masculine" traits that would help them to achieve power. When a woman has "drive" like a man, she is called "ambitious" and that is supposedly a bad trait for a woman to have. Many supposedly "masculine" traits are off limits to women and they are denigrated for possessing and using them.

It is ridiculous.

anything (and do more) to make sure it doesn't happen - his comments probably have very little to do with Harris and much more to do with knowing his gravy train will be coming to a halt in a few months.

Dem women candidates can't win this judgment game. Despite her congenial warm manner Trump has already falsely claimed she is a mad angry woman because she was tough and serious questioning Kavanaugh and Barr.

He said "a little too charismatic” and her personality “might be a little bit dominant.”

Trump's supposed charisma and dominant personality is the shifting sands his house is built on.

That and lies, deceptions and law suits.........
