It would be hard to imagine Rs being able to rally their sheep into an anti-USPS stance.
Dems should push hard, very hard on this, LOUDLY and OFTEN. Every Dem on any talk show should be talking about this, repetitively, for months. Give no quarter.
(Of course, who would've expected masks to be an R rally factor, either.)
Rs love their US mail delivery just as much as Dems do, I firmly believe..

(32,975 posts)Absentee Voting is great, but Mail-In Voting is going to be a disaster.
Their sheep are on board with whatever preposterous lies they're fed.

(3,639 posts)So, say, "So, you are telling me that birthday cards are great, but Christmas cards are a disaster.
Then tell them their facts are false, logic loopy, morality missing and walk away for they have nothing to say that need be heard nor negated. No need to make the child of three understand infinity.

(32,975 posts)The point is moot, anyway. No GOP-run state is going to change to all mail-in in the remaining time. I doubt many Dem-run states will either.
Thankful to live in Washington State at this point, but apprehensive about November now.

Elderly folks not getting their medicine
"regular folks" missing bills and getting harassed by debt collectors
Small business owners running into supply chain and delivery issues
Hammer them relentlessly for their sabotage of the USPS...

(3,461 posts)All the Тяцмрегs I see posting on social media now hate and mistrust the post office. Just like they turned on Dr. Fauchi and embraced Russia. These are very easily manipulated people.
The really sad part about this Presidency is that he actually could have gotten these people to go for universal healthcare and a hundred other good things if he had the right people in his ear. I dont know that anyone else could have done that.

He could have said anythinghe was in no way bound by conventional party stances or platformsand his cultists would have fallen lockstep (goose step?) in line with it.
Climate change?
Healthcare?
A coherent response to COVID?
Education?
Universal College?
Universal Basic Income?
He tells his base its good, and theyre on board. Trump>Party. Democrats would be on board. Republicans who are afraid of him are on board. He could have gotten things done to make the world a better place.
The potential power he had was incredible. He could have changed the world for the better, and actually gone down in history as a good president. Instead his narcissism, stupidity, greed, and cruelty squandered this potential as he squandered everything else hes been given in his life and hell go into history as the worst miserable failure of a president that this country has ever suffered through.

(1,665 posts)Have long had a desire to destroy the USPS. Heck, the bill requiring the USPS to pre-fund pensions, etc. was an early attack on it.
Of course, once BobbyJo cant get his mail delivered because FedEx doesnt do rural and his (R) idols destroyed USPS theyll cry a new tune, Im sure.
