4. We need a promise that the chained CPI is off the table.

We need a promise that an increase in the eligibility age of Medicare is off the table, as well as any cuts to or slowing of Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid benefits, by direct or indirect means.

This is the time for the President to be specific and make it clear that Romney is the ONLY candidate running who will attack these desperately needed safety nets.

No Grand Bargain on the table, ever again.
