Hey Jeff Bezos....wanna stick it to Trump and help the American people?

Offer the Amazon delivery fulfillment network to get the votes to the place they need to go....at n/c to the US voters. Trump will go nutz and you will be doing something tangible to save our democracy. Win/Win/Lose*

* Trump, that is.

first off amazon contracts out with usps for final delivery especially in rural area. ive never seen an amazon truck out here.
second, i believe many states with vote by mail require that ballots be returned by usps to be legal, not private carriers.

If USPS can't deliver, he could certainly make the case to the American people. Full page ads in every major paper. A "national" press conference to offer it directly to the American people. Would Trump put this down to? Even if there was no cost to the US Taxpayer?

Time for Jeff to make the pitch. So, he loses a few billion....he's making a tangible investment in our future (and Amazon's too).

You’re fantasizing if you think Bezos will help anyone but himself.

BTW, the big prize in ruining the USPS is getting control of the pension fund. Remember, they have to fund the pensions for 70 years in the future.. It’s a huge pool of money tied up in safe bonds. If the USPS is privatized, look to see the new “owners” reward themselves by paying out a big hunk of that to themselves. We’ve seen this movie too many times. Think Pan Am and United Airlines who screwed their employees and dumped their pension obligations on the US govt. Privatize the profits, socialize the losses. An old song.

and not necessarily take on the Office of postage. This is simply a short term marketing plan where Bezos invests 50BB .... in the best long-term interests of Amazon.

What's 50BB to Bezos? I think he'd be quite happy to drive a stake into Trump.

Article I, section 8, Clause 7 of the United States Constitution grants Congress the power to establish post offices and post roads,[82] which has been interpreted as a de facto Congressional monopoly over the delivery of first-class residential mail—which has been defined as non-urgent residential letters (not packages). Accordingly, no other system for delivering first-class residential mail—public or private—has been tolerated, absent Congress's consent.

The more Trump and his enablers try to block the vote, the more determined voters will be to have their voices heard. People are already angry. Trump is merely whipping voters into a huge, drowning wave of protest.

Mark my word. This is will be a record breaking vote. And the more voters who come out?? The more we win.

WE'RE COMING FOR YOU, DONNIE!

Tsunami, anyone?

But forcing the vote-in-person option means (1) people have health risks and (2) suppressing the vote becomes easier. Limit the machines available.

Our forefathers booted the english out and won our country. More recently they stormed the beaches on D-day.

If they did that, I damm well will do a far less risky thing and will mask up and vote in person if the situation with usps does not return to normal.

I received 8 deliveries from Amazon via the USPS in the past 3 days. None for the 9 months before that. So obviously, behind the scenes, Jeff Bezos is using USPS to send items regardless of the cost.

He is low key - he won't publicize it though.
