Jim.Bakker guest 8/14 reports going to Seattle where he found demonic spirit worse than in Syria, Pa

Evil, anti god spirit in streets of America protesting police killings of blacks worse than anti god spirit working in killings, bombing, disruptions on Syria border, in Pakistan---where he said he'd been as preacher 'bringing healing"

'A report about the 'horrendous evil working to take over streets of America'

Millions watch these people and are being told/convinced thet 'BLM, movement for civil rights for marginalized is direct attack on god and his people'

And THESE PEOPLE VOTE

You may find them ridiculous, illogical, whatever. But 81% of white Evangelicals voted for Trump. 60% of white Catholics voted for Trump. Their votes put him in office

The % of white Evangelicals suppoting him hasn't changed

We ridicule them, ignore them at our peril!!!

... to ignore evidence.

Satan (hypothetically) could run for President and many of them would support him if people like Bakker said he was chosen by God to lead this country to salvation.

those white evangelicals are now dying off disproportionately to the population overall, both because of Covid and because of demographics. There have been major scandals with several key religious figures in the last year, and Biden would end up being the first Catholic president in the White House since John F. Kennedy. What's more, I think there's some serious soul searching going on in the religious community after Trump's Lafayette Park stunt. His blatant hucksterism did him no good whatsoever in the eyes of people of faith, and I think that the religious voters that will continue to support him are already blatantly racist, xenophobic, sexist and sociopathic. In other words, they are Trump supporters first who happen to have religious affiliations.

Some are racist, xenophobic and sociopathic... but many others are simply worried they'll miss their ticket to Heaven after these kinds of hucksters plant seeds of doubt in their minds about their choices. The can't support Democrats who "allow murder" of the unborn, etc.

I suspect that many of them are so privileged that issues like abortion and homosexuality can totally dominate their mindsets, though. It's surely a different story for non-white evangelicals with issues like "murder by cop" also on their minds.

Edit: The Republicans took over the evangelical movement soon after Jimmy Carter talked about taxing churches and religious institutions for racism, etc.

It was the taxation idea that bothered those fat, greedy fuckers more than anything else.

That's when a bunch of charlatans like Jerry Falwell came out to campaign for Reagan. Republicans put more evangelical language in their platforms thereafter, and it's been a "marriage" ever since.
