(7,290 posts)I've no love for Romney or anyone in his family or campaign, but I don't wish any of them ill, either.

(36,827 posts)Had queen Ann actually been in any real sort of danger I might think otherwise.

(24,853 posts)This is NOT an example.
What's "too bad" is I bet lots of people would have loved to have your screen name, and after you're gone, it's gone with you.

(36,827 posts)It's actually a very common occurrence. Usually what happens is some piece of avionics gear burns up and makes a little puff of smoke. The potential is that it could keep burning, fill the cockpit up with smoke, and ultimately bring down the plane as a result. In practice this almost never happens. These incidents happen about once per day (or more) in the US and almost never result in tragedy. Pilots err on the side of caution, declare an emergency, and put the aircraft on the ground so it can be checked out (as they should). Were it not queen Ann's plane, this wouldn't even be newsworthy.

(10,000 posts)Cabin filled with smoke. Pilot had to make an emergency landing. All aboard were safe.

I wondered the other day if the GOP would try to Wellstone Mitt. Maybe they went after Annie for the sympathy vote.
