Every time I got to youtube's homepage the last few days I keep on seeing large pro-Trump adds at the top of the page. It's pretty annoying to deal

(14,565 posts)I have an ad blocker and I bookmark directly to my own channel so that's where I start. There isn't a Trump ad in sight.
I can't imagine beginning at the home page. I don't think I have ever done it

(6,278 posts)It did motivate me to research the settings YouTube uses to push ads at me. Made no difference.
I do occasionally get Chuck Schumer asking for a donation, but Trump is in heavy rotation. My favorite ad appearance was when I clicked a video of Lake Street Dive playing the anti-Trump song "Shame Shame Shame" there was a Trump ad asking about whether I approved of him - I think the video I was going to watch was the clear answer!
I just fetched the link to the video and got two ads, one from Democrats and another pro-Trump ad.

Edit: And it can change over time because of corporations fighting constantly to force ads on us.
