So, gaming out the Bannon arrest.....

will Barr demand an expedited prosecution so Trump can pardon him before he's out of office?

Given how Trump has undermined the DOJ on prior prosecutions, I'd think that they will be slow walking the prosecution so that Trump can't pardon him.

The President can pardon anyone of a federal crime at any time; before, during, or after legal any legal proceedings.

Weinberger was indicted on five felony charges related to the Iran-contra affair, including accusations that he had lied to Congress and obstructed Government investigations.

William Barr was Attorney General in 1992.

A federal pardon can be issued prior to the start of a legal case or inquiry, prior to any indictments being issued, for unspecified offenses, and prior to or after a conviction for a federal crime.[13] President Gerald Ford's broad federal pardon of former president Richard M. Nixon in 1974 for "all offenses against the United States which he, Richard Nixon, has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 20, 1969 through August 9, 1974" is a notable example of a fixed-period federal pardon that came prior to any indictments being issued and that covered unspecified federal offenses that may or may not have been committed."

They will try to bury it until after the election. In exchange for his silence, a pardon will be granted on January 19 (or thereabouts).

There’s no requirement that Bannon be convicted first.

That said, why would he? Haven’t Bannon and Trump been enemies for a while?

This is from a rube at FreeRepublic. These people are made to be swindled. You'd think he'd be demanding his $100 back, but he seems OK with giving it to support Bannon's lifestyle.

Bannon will end up with a fine and legal fees.

Now IF it turns out that Barr (Trump) knew about this coming and didn’t slow it down or try to squash it THEN we could have something. Bannon and Trump are both vindictive shits and between the two I’d put my money on Bannon. He’s way more intelligent than Trump and he’s way more conniving too.

Just saying, Bannon may want to avoid solitary jail cells.
And I don't recommend the tea either.
