LOL. Romney will campaign with Jack Nicklaus in OH, going after that elusive "swing" golfer vote.

From the Columbus Dispatch:

http://dispatchpolitics.dispatch.com/content/blogs/the-daily-briefing/2012/09/9-21-2012-jack-nicklaus-to-campaign-with-romney.html

Golf legend Jack Nicklaus will be the featured guest at a campaign event for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in Westerville on Wednesday.

The event will be held at the Alum Creek Park Amphitheatre at 221 West Main St. at 8 a.m., with gates opening at 6 a.m. Attendees will go through airport-like security and are advised to bring as few personal items as possible. Tickets can be reserved at: www.mittromney.com/states/ohio.

Nicklaus' appearance with Romney will kickoff the second day of a two-day bus tour. In addition to Westerville, Romney is scheduled to visit Dayton, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Toledo on the Tuesday and Wednesday bus tour..

-snip-

Not the best choice of celebrity for Romney to campaign with in Ohio, unless they have internal polls showing they're in danger of losing the country-club vote.

Yeah, if Romney is worried about the country club golfer vote, he is in big trouble. nt stevenleser Sep 2012 #2

Things like this just emphasize what a wealthy dork he is. Campaign events featuring "country club" visits don't go over very well with the average person.
Unlike President Obama who makes a stop at a pizza place to recognize the owner for his blood drives for his community, stops at a Children's Hospital to see a terminally ill child, takes a minute to talk to a survivor of the Colorado theater shooting.

What else can I say, Romney just brings all his woes on himself.

I'd like to dismiss it, and yes, Jack's a little past the height of his relevance, but until anything changes, Columbus produced the best golfer the world has ever seen, and Ohio folks tend to take pride in things like that.
