anything that tones down the hypomania and ideally has dry mouth as a side effect would be good, to keep him from frothing at the mouth.
but his real problem is that you can't get empathy or compassion from a pill.

Drugs are the religion of the twenty-first century. Pursuing the religious life today without using psychedelic drugs is like studying astronomy with the naked eye because thats how they did it in the first century A.D., and besides telescopes are unnatural.
