I hung up on a friend and Trump supporter today

Friend calls (much less close friend due to politics) calls today and asks how how I am then how a mutual friend’s recovering son recovering from Covid is.

Knowing he’s a Trump supporter I ask why he wants to know since Covid is a hoax. He says he believes in Covid and wears a mask and gloves. I ask why if Trump says it is a hoax. He says Trump wears a mask. I said not all the time and that his supporters don’t and ask him about Herman Cain dying from Covid. He said he should have worn a mask.

The conversation drifts to the witch doctor/demons lady and I ask him how he can believe someone who lacks credibility. He says there are a lot of doctors giving out conflicting information about Covid. I tell him there aren’t.

Then I mention 170,000 people have died and he starts to talk about pre-existing conditions. I say that is bullshit and that’s Republicans’ just trying to blame the victims for their own illness or demise and that ultimately these people are dying of Covid pre-existing conditions or not.

Then back to the actual numbers. With 170,000 dead I asked him what he thinks. He said “that’s not a lot of people.” I then said “I have to go you’re too fucking stupid.”
