Being an alarmist or do we heed his warnings?
Michael Moore warns that Donald Trump is on course to repeat 2016 win. Film-maker says enthusiasm for president in swing states is ‘off the charts’ and urges everyone to commit to getting 100 people to vote. The documentary film-maker Michael Moore has warned that Donald Trump appears to have such momentum in some battleground states that liberals risk a repeat of 2016 when so many wrote off Trump only to see him grab the White House. “Sorry to have to provide the reality check again,” he said. snip https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/aug/29/michael-moore-donald-trump-repeat-2016-warning

9. Maybe we should assume it to be true and work harder than ever
to make it untrue? Perhaps Michael Moore is wY out in left field. But I do think the tRump and co. will and are doing EVERYTHING possible, to turn this to their favor. They can only “win” through suppressing the vote, cheating, stealing and manipulating. BUT think about it...this is exactly how tRump has “succeeded” his entire life.
You better believe he’ll doing everything in his and Putin’s power to stay just where he is. |

Trump voters is even more than in 2016. I have seen one sign locally "Anyone but Trump" and I have the lone bumper sticker
so far. I was in Granville Ohio last week I did see Biden signs there, it is home of Dennison University. I was also at Buckeye lake the same day practically every house has a Trump flag. I am not so confidant about our chances. I just hope that things are different in Cleveland and other cities to counteract the nuts in the country. |

He can scream cry and whine when its announced he has lost and whether or not he wanted to leave. Come January 20th. 14. there are two main 'new' dangers that in theory could push Trump to squeak out a stolen 'win' again
1. Massive riots spin out of control based off future events, and Rump uses this to terrify huge swathes of swing voters into supporting him.
2. The whole mail-in ballot destruction/suppression/invalidation schema combined with the already pre-existing voter suppression/roll purging. In addition to that there will be a Trumpian army of goons nationwide (especially in the swing states and key House districts and finally the several key Senate race states that are not actually swing states other than those Senate races) that will be deployed to further suppress same day Democratic voting (planned out down to granular precinct level in many cases) and also to challenge damn near every mail-in ballot if they (the goons) are allowed to be observers during the counting. COVID-19 will play a part in all this as well. Remove those two dangers to a large degree, Trump will be crushed. |

52. Look! Trump voters are going to turn out and vote for Trump
It is up to the Democratic leadership to recognize that as fact.
Now how do we as democratic voters ensure our side turns out and vote plus that vote is counted? Trump and the GOP is doing everything they can do to suppress the Democratic party voter right to vote and have it correctly counted. Does the Democratic Party Leadership have the vote counting mechanics under control? Are the prepared for the coming fight and Donald Trump's ability to control the counting of votes? Remember you only have to cheat in Florida, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania in certain counties to flip the election. No one is suppressing the Trump voters' right to vote. |

60. I'm beginning to wonder what Vlad has on Moore n/t
Stories like this are designed to do nothing else but try to discourage people or make them feel hopeless.
But let me tell you what I do know. If, after the past 4 years, by some fucking act of God, Donnie Dipshit is elected, this country is finished . If, after all the corruption, the lies, the fraud, the rasicm and hate, the terrorism, the complete destruction of everything decent, the lawlessness, the stupidity and ignorance... and the deaths ...a majority of Americans in enough electoral states return this prick to office, the United States will no longer exist. You think the majority of folks in Blue States are going to hang around while he fucking punishes them... and he will punish them. Hell, he already is. No, this ends one of two ways One: He loses and the country begins the heavy lifting to repair the damage, including constitutional amendents and checks and balances with real teeth to better counter presidential abuses of power. There will also be work to be done to ensure this can't happen again, and that a backwards ass State like Kentucky doesn't have the power to shutdown the entire Senate because they continue to send Dipshits like McConnell and Rand Paul to the Senate, and to ensure that a fucking cow in Montana has more power over the country than a citizen of Florida. Elimination of the electoral college, starehood for Puerto Rico, DC, Guam, The US Virgin islands and Marianas Territory. Two:. He eeks out a narrow win and the country splinters into dozens of pieces. I wouldn't be surprised to see some Blue States requesting admission to the EU. There's no way this country stays together if he were to again lose by millions of votes, but win the presidency That's what's at stake. So, forgive me if I don't give a shit how many Donnie Shit for Brains signs are on the drive from Dumbfuckistan, PA to Shithole, OH. We vote...we WIN We win, we have a chance to save the United States. We get discouraged and stay home and this country is over. |

because no one knows the future

but Michael Moore speaks the truth. We've been amused by the Lincoln Project and others but in my opinion, they've been ineffective.

79. I think Mike Moore gets an unfair bad press here.
As a serial follower of his YouTube clips it is clear that he is viscerally anti-Trump (comparing the rise of Trumpism to the rise of Nazism in 30’s Germany); was quite pro-Hillary last time out; has a political outlook that accords with the party platform; and simply wants to guard against complacency.
