8. And remember, tRump can't be caught w/an umbrella

He doesn't know how they work:

MSNBC (@MSNBC) Tweeted:
WATCH: President Trump abandons his open umbrella at the door to Air Force One while departing for Indianapolis on Saturday. https://t.co/hcKeMIhifg

16. Six months later, and he still hasn't learned how to close an umbrella.

Here, he hands it off to someone waiting inside the plane door.

3. I even remember when it was OK for a military member

to hold an umbrella over the head of his c-i-c, before the disgusting attack and smear tactics of the publicans on every thing President Obama did.

5. While I don't support IQ45's explanation

The problem with flying that day was fog, not rain - Kobe Bryant is the obvious example of why you don't fly helicopters in fog. No one flew, and all the other leaders simply drove to the site, so the Trumkopf's explanation remains worthless.

15. Top of the line Choppers have crash avoidance technology that allow them to fly

in any weather. The Chopper that Kobe, his child, the child’s coach, another player and her the parents, and a college baseball coach, and the pilot died on didn’t have that technology installed, so the pilot had no sense of where he was relative to high hills and the ground. Prince Charles regularly flies in the type of Chopper that killed Bryant and others, England has lots of fog, but the Royal Chopper has state of the art technology, like Marine One surely has.

21. Yes, I am well aware of that

However, no one else flew either, so ground control probably banned the flights. In any case, it wasn't just rain, and they could have driven.

22. I agree that they could have driven.

With that many top world leaders taking the same basic route, I would guess that the route was crawling with security people. There was a story that Trump was mad at Macron, in his small brain he may have concluded that not making the trip was an insult toward Macron. I honestly don’t see how any active military or Vet would want to support such a person.

10. He always forgets to mention that the fog didn't stop any of the real leaders.

They were able to get there. He could have easily taken The Beast motorcade and been able to read Golf magazines (or at least look at the pictures) all the way there and back.

25. Fabric Swatches.

Trump loves looking at fabric swatches.

Trump is a moron fixated by fabric swatches.

Trump, the billion-dollar loser — I was his ghostwriter and saw it happen

Charles Leerhson
Yahoo.com, May 9, 2019

EXCERPT...

I tend to see my time with him — the first part of it, anyway, before things started going bad in a hurry — as his “King Midas” period. I never said this to him; if I had, he probably would have thought I was suggesting he enter the muffler business. But there was a stretch of months when everything he touched turned into a deal. The banks seemed to accept the version of him depicted in his first book, “The Art of the Deal,” which we now know from his previous ghostwriter, Tony Schwartz, was entirely invented. They believed it over what they saw on his balance sheets or heard coming out of his mouth, and they never said no to his requests for more money. Often they came up with things he could say yes to before he could think of them himself. As a result, a failing real estate developer who had little idea of what he was doing and less interest in doing it once he’d held the all-important press conference wound up owning three New Jersey hotel-casinos, the Plaza Hotel, the Eastern Airlines Shuttle and a 281-foot yacht.

A real go-getter, right? But Trump’s portfolio did not jibe with what I saw each day — which to a surprisingly large extent was him looking at fabric swatches. Indeed, flipping through fabric swatches seemed at times to be his main occupation. Some days he would do it for hours, then take me in what he always called his “French military helicopter” to Atlantic City — where he looked at more fabric swatches or sometimes small samples of wood paneling. It was true that the carpets and drapes at his properties needed to be refreshed frequently, and the seats on the renamed Trump Shuttle required occasional reupholstering. But the main thing about fabric swatches was that they were within his comfort zone — whereas, for example, the management of hotels and airlines clearly wasn’t. One of his aides once told me that every room at the Plaza could be filled at the “rack rate” (list price) every night, and the revenue still wouldn’t cover the monthly payment of the loan he’d taken out to buy the place. In other words, he’d made a ridiculous deal. Neither he nor the banks had done the math beforehand. Or perhaps Trump knew it because someone had told him, but didn’t want to think about it. The one thing he is above-average at is compartmentalization.

Magazines and books and briefing papers warning him Putin has a bounty on American servicemen and women, not so much.

11. Two things i saw in this short video.

1. Trump could walk up a set of stairs without holding on. HE HAS DETERIORATED without a doubt.

2. He left the umbrella outside because he DIDN'T WANT HIS HAIRPIECE and COMB OVER to get wet.

I put up this thread about it.

It is utter horseshit that the UH 60 (Or the Sea King, whichever they brought with them) couldn’t fly that day.

Prince Charles regularly fly in worse weather on his Royal Chopper.
