A young man, aged 19, has gone missing from our community. He turned up missing when his folks
were out of town. He did not have a cellphone with him. He had no money to speak of. There has
been no word from him and his parents are sick with worry. Our local area is saturated with info but
so far it hasn't helped ..so I thought I would post something here in hopes that the DU community
might be able to help out. He is a tall good looking kid and was driving his father's older Jag.
Here is a link to the flyer his family has put out: It has his photo and phone numbers to contact:
http://gawnews.com/?p=4330
The flyer has his photograph, a picture of the car he was in and also the license tag
and phone numbers for our local sheriff's department.
I am not 'tech' handy and did not know how to embed the flier on this Post.
A reward has been offered as well for information leading to Ethan. Thanks.

(9,001 posts)Put your pointer over the image you want to copy and paste.
Click the right hand button on your mouse or (laptop) pad
A menu will pop up. One of the options will be to "copy image location"
Move your pointer to that option and click the left hand button on your mouse or pad.
For DU, go to the message you are composing, put your pointer in the message text box and click the left hand button again. The menu pop up will have a "paste" option. Choose that.
The text that is pasted should have one of the following file types at the very end of the text: .jpeg or .gif or .png Those are the most common file types for images.
It takes practice, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy.
If you want to check that the image is there before you finalize the post, click the preview button at the bottom of the Message Text box.
Good luck

(12,272 posts)I know he has a car, but maybe he hasn't left the state yet.
He appeared to be headed south when last seen. I will post in the KY and Tennessee forums too.

(540 posts)Ethan is the son of my brother's friend. They are in agony. It's 'not like' this young man to 'run away' and leave no word.

(37,648 posts)It's hard to fathom, but sometimes people just disappear.
These things must be very hard for a family to go through. But if the person isn't found, there is always hope, I suppose. I hope he turns up. Hard to say w/o knowing anything about the young man, such as drug history. Drugs can make people do odd things. I hope he's found.

Sellersburg teens disappearance not considered criminal

JEFFERSONVILLE The disappearance of a 19-year-old man has his parents and friends worried, and local law enforcement is now looking for the teenager.
Tony Bennetts son, 19-year-old Ethan Hunter Bennett, was last seen by a minor family member around 11:30 p.m. on the night of Tuesday, Sept. 11. Ethan Bennett is now being sought by the Clark County Sheriffs Department to verify his well-being, and other local law-enforcement agencies are aware of the search.
The reason why this case has kind of got our interest is hes had no contact with friends or family, which even the friends and family said thats just not normal, Detective Lt. Randy Burton said at a press conference Monday. Hes a pretty social individual. The individual left without his [cell] phone and has no means or taking care of himself ... money-wise.
Burton said the search for Ethan Bennett is not currently considered a criminal matter...
There is a suggestion in the article that the young man may be depressed....

(8,311 posts)I volunteer for the Doe Network, and I'll also keep a lookout there for any posts about bodies found that might match his criteria and in the general area. I know that's not the ideal solution at all -- I want him home SAFE -- but if you've spoken to families in agony about not knowing for 20+ years where there children were.... actually finding out what happened, even if it's not good, gives some measure of closure. It gives them a place to go visit their children.
I hope he's found safe.

It sounds like this is probably a case of that.

(102,225 posts)That said, I surely wish he weren't in a Jaguar, which inevitably gets far too much unwanted attention.
I will be sending good thoughts for his quick and safe return.

(540 posts)out of town when he disappeared. There is no thought
that they were on 'bad' terms when this happened. He
also has other family and friends. Nobody has heard anything.

Not only do they have tons of information and knowledgeable people, they get a lot of visibility for cases, both recent and cold. There is an entire section "Families of the Missing-Resources, helps, tips" - http://www.websleuths.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=188
I'm just a member of that site, not affiliated with it in any way.
Good luck!
