Perception is difficult to change. Especially in a short period of time.

That's why I don't think it matters what Romney does at this point; the emergent perception of him as being unable to relate to the common people and more importantly, not really wanting to, can't be changed in a matter of weeks. He has no credibility.

The overarching theme of the RNC convention was to portray Romney as a kind, caring man, worthy of the trust of the American people (never mind the details!). It didn't work and since then, he has repeatedly provided plenty of evidence that the opposite is true; he is a liar and we can't trust him with our future. He has done this to himself even though he blames Obama for his troubles. We all know Ann is frustrated the extreme makeover hasn't worked and she's let 'us people' know that on multiple occasions.

A couple of weeks ago, I wondered if Romney might be able to turn the election around in his favor by performing well in the debates. After the past week, I can't see how he could possibly do anything to save himself. Yes, things are going to get crazier the closer we get to election day, but I think many people are done with Romney and have tuned him out (those waiting to make up their minds and some Republicans) and he won't be able to recover.

That said, GOTV!!!!!!
