Its all Bob Woodwards fault.
Stop helping him change the narrative. There are actually dumb people in this country wholl blame a reporter and not the President.

(321 posts)for not licking? Where did the SOB get his
info from? A bunch of people knew. Because
that FF can;t keep a secret, I'm going to
guess, I'd say even people at Fox
knew! Now we wait for someone to find
out that Bastard and his family got the
Russian vaccine already. Why, because the
BS never ends, it's worse than a broken
record! It goes on and on with no end
insight!

Other Liberals on DU think the politics is more important than human lives, just like Trump!

(11,623 posts)He's attacking the messenger. It's the first play in his book. No matter if its Vindman or Kelly or Comey or Omarosa or Strzok or Mary Trump or Woodward, et. al... and amazingly it doesn't matter who corroborates the story or in this case if there are tapes of him saying all of it himself... he attacks the source.

(70,671 posts)Endless repetition is one technique used in flame wars - ignoring opposing arguments, just putting blinders on and repeat repeat repeat.
It's the same as saying that none of the henchmen, collaborators, enablers should have been held accountable because *only* HITLER was at fault. So the "family" should not have been charged because MANSON was the one responsible?
And this is not hyperbole. I am contrasting henchmen vs the principal criminal, all sharing the accountability whatever the differing proportions.
********And "reading DU" as being a source of wrong information is the broad-brush technique.

(1,159 posts)Woodward makes a pretty good argument that he didn't immediately go public with Trump's comments about Covid-19 because he couldn't immediately tell whether Trump was experiencing a heretofore unseen moment of honesty, or lying as usual. It isn't clear to me WHEN exactly Trump made those particular comments. Was it closer to February 2020 or late June 2020? One thing I think we can all likely agree on is that if Woodward had gone public early on with the comments, Trump's inner circle would surely have shut the interviews down and we would not have any of the interviews that followed. My guess is that Trump's most damning comments likely came later in the game when he just knew he had Woodward in the palms of his hands.
