Seems like things in NC might be moving in the Dem's direction.

These are the last few polls on NC:

Purple Strategies 9/15 - 9/19 600 LV 4.0 48 46 Obama +2
Rasmussen Reports 9/13 - 9/13 500 LV 4.5 45 51 Romney +6
High Point 9/8 - 9/18 448 RV 4.7 48 44 Obama +4

at the OFA office in Greensboro yesterday. Had to be 400 or so people volunteering for GOTV in our county. I was shocked at the turnout as 8 and 12 years ago we could barely get 30 volunteers to the local county office.

After the last poll Civitas put out, they pretty much lost all credibility. There's no possible way such a drastic swing occurred in NC between these last two polls, I think Romney was +10 last time. I think at best Obama is tied or 1 point ahead in NC now.

That was a just bad poll. It showed Romney getting 30% of the African American vote in NC. He will be lucky to get 5%.

If I were a sane Republican (I know, that's an oxymoron) and wanted to enact change in America to reflect another direction than that of the President's, I could vote for Gary Johnson. I would encourage all my die hard Republican friends to do just that.

Regaining the NC state legislature is probably a loss cause for now due to redistricting (note to voters - don't vote in the Republicans in a census year - they get to redraw the districts to make sure that they never have to give back power) but we desperately need to avoid a Republican governor. I hope that President Obama and the national DNC will help us.

We NEED to get Dalton in, just to hold the line on the seriously crappy legislature.

Any polls on the House races? Jennifer Roberts is tied with Pittenger in the previously solidly Republican 9th. Curious how Kissel is looking int the 8th and what Shuler's old district is doing.
