It's not a gaffe when you say what you mean.

All these quotes of Romney saying some idiotic shit are being referred to as "Gaffes".
They are not. They are pictures of the candidate's true beliefs that are stupid or wrong.

A gaffe is saying Eastern Europe when you mean Western.
Talking about the 57 States.
Mixing up the name of a World leader incorrectly.

These are statements that we know the speaker did not mean, but made an error.
These are funny and when someone does it too many times (cough...Bush...cough) we can question his abilities.

But Romney has not been making gaffes, he has stated things he wants to say that turn out to be wrong, grossly unpopular or insulting.

I wish people (here and in the media) would stop calling them gaffes, they are much, much worse.
