18. The poster meant Tillis from North Carolina.

Someone asked the question of if Collins, Tillis, Gardner and the Republican from Arizona lose their seats, what will they do between the election and Inauguration Day, that was a pretty good question. Would they show principle and tell Mitch that he must follow his 2016 rule, given that there is nothing in it for them?

19. Did he say he would vote NO if there is an

actual vote? Because if he said he wouldn’t like it doesn’t mean he won’t do it.

Which you should put in your post for context.

13. Well, those two can make such a pledge...

...and then break it in the post-election session, win or lose.

12. I'm sure Mitch has made one of his usual deals...

...whereby those two, and maybe one other, are given a "free pass" to defect, knowing that he has commitments from the rest of his caucus to force through a Trump nominee.

If you think Republicans aren't going to jump at this chance to fix their agenda in stone for the next half-century at least, think again.

21. If he loses 3, he doesn't get the nominee appointed.

I believe that Murkowski has principles and will hold, not as sure about the Iowa Senator.

14. Statements prior to RBG's death should not be counted upon.

Hell, statements prior to Trump naming the nominee should not be counted upon.

17. Romney too, according to Twitter

I think we need one more, right?

That said, it's a double-edged sword. If the seat is open it will motivate more Republicans who don't like Trump to hold their nose and vote for him. The same might be true on our side, but it seems like infrequent voters on the right are more likely to turn out over Supreme Court nominees than on our side, because on our side the people who care the most about the Supreme Court are professionals who are already reliable voters.

22. I think this time its going to light a fire

under people's asses. This time its real. If McConnel tries to ram a nominee who is anti lgbt, anti abortion , anti obamacare, there will be people in the voting booth and in the street

23. I don't believe them.

Republicans are human filth. They are beings constructed of lies and deceit, powered by hate and feeding on despair. They lie as easily and confidently as you breath.
